Elstad Interiors is a Chicago based interior design firm that provides residential and commercial, interior and exterior, design services across the US and the UK. Established in 2001, and working largely on client referral, Elstad Interiors has completed hundreds of successful projects - transforming residential spaces into luxurious dream homes and offices into comfortable, inspiring spaces through innovative, purposeful design.
Elstad Interiors believes that a person’s environment deeply impacts the way they feel and their sense of well-being. As a client of Elstad Interiors, we take the time to understand your needs and how you want to live and work in your space. We work to help you discover your personal style and see your space in new and interesting ways, creating the lifestyle you desire.
A full-service boutique design house, we are not constrained by what is available through retail or online stores, and can leverage our global influences and master craftsman to create the custom pieces needed to deliver interiors as unique as our clientele. Whether it be a peaceful retreat, a hip lounge for friends, an office space that inspires and motivates, or a large family kitchen, we mix modern and timeless elements to give our clients spaces that they will love for years to come.
At Elstad Interiors we understand that the design and build process can be overwhelming. Some clients want to be intimately involved in this process, while the large majority ask us to take on more of a leadership role. Either way, we work diligently with you to make the process run as smoothly and efficiently as possible, giving you peace of mind.
SALLY ELSTAD, PRINCIPAL
Sally has been involved in design and construction for as long as she can remember, assisting her Interior Designer mother and Civil Engineer father on numerous projects. Sally gained her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Texas, before starting her career in fashion and event production while also fulfilling her passion of buying, renovating and selling properties.
In 2001 Sally opened Elstad Interiors. Initially focusing on residential interior design, she then expanded the company to include new builds, full historical refurbishment and commercial properties across 12 US states and internationally, driven by demand from her clients. This has given Sally a wide range of influences, both contemporary and classical, from around the world.
Today, Sally and her team take tremendous pride in continuing to help their clients create unique and individualized spaces.

This combined with over 45 years of collective experience, allows us to provide a truly individualized experience through the life of your project.
